The Word.

400 years. Can you imagine 400 years of silence from God?
The prophets are all dead and gone. The Messiah has been promised.
Creation waited with baited breath for even a divine whisper.

"And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us." (John 1:14)
God did not send word through a prophet or an angel.
He sent the Word.

When God speaks, everything changes.
"And God said, 'Let there be light,' and there was light." (Genesis 1:3)

Logos. Jesus is the incarnation of God's redemption story; the perfect One walks in fallen flesh. The Author of our faith spoke his masterpiece, our restoration tale, into the world by living it out.

"All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it." (John 1:3-5)

Every narrative in the Bible, God's Word, is about Jesus. Jesus is the Word. He is who our deaf ears have been longing to hear and what our blind eyes have been starving to read.
